Through the Tunnel

1.SETTING

The story was played at the sea where Jerry together with his mother and other boys stayed.  Jerry and his mother stayed in the villa while on the holiday at the shore. In addition, there was a rocky bay with promontories and beach where Jerry usually goes.  Furthermore,  it  clearly shows that it was summer time as there was a very hot sun. And also, it showed that it played almost the morning, afternoon and evening.

2.PLOT

Jerry and his mother who was a widow went to the shore for a holiday.  His mother was a responsible parent who always watched his actions.  Furthermore, she usually escots him to the bay to swim.  Jerry was a good swimmer who always tried to improve in swimming and to become an expert.  During his time at the bay, he met boys bigger than him speaking the langauge he did not understand.  Even thought they swam together, they did not formed friendship.  Despite of becoming an expert in swimming, he met some difficulties of nose bleeding while swimming.  However Jerry did not give up swimming at that moment.  His nose bled so badly that he became weak and dizzy.  Eventually, his mother decided to go back home. Few days to go home, Jerry had experienced a very bad nose bled and he decided not to swim any longer.

3. MAIN CHARACTER

Jerry, a young English boy who stayed with his mother as a single parent.  He was eleven years old who put his effort and time on swimming while on the holiday.  Likewise, he was a good swimmer. He was a boy who did not worry about people who are  different from him, as he met some big boys at the bay but they did not formed friendship.  But however, swimming caused him nose bleeding that left him weak and dizzy.  Eventually, he gave up swimming.
